Recently
Eyespygolf.com was chosen as the Cool site of the day. Considering how many
golf sites are on the internet and the fact that Cool Site of The Day only choose
365 sites A YEAR as the 'Cool Site of the Day', we were both flattered and humbled
by the nomination. Users all over the world got to vote on how 'Cool' they thought
ESG is and we're delighted to report that we scored very well. A link to the day
we were the 'Cool Site of the day' can be found here:

In addition
Eyespygolf.com was also given a fantastic write up on Killerstartups.com.
This prestigious site leaves it up to it's users to decide how many 'Killers' a
nominated site will recieve. On the day Eyespygolf was posted we topped the list
with 14 'Killers'. In the words of Killerstartups.com,
'Why this site might be a killer - This is the only site
in the world that has been able to hook all of the courses in the US up to Google
Earth. In fact, this system is considered so unique that they recieve coverage on
PGA.com's
home page + a link during the 2007 Masters at Augusta. Unlike other golf
course directories that focus on text and Google Maps, they've taken it to a new
level and it's taken a lot of work to do so. Being able to see a Google Earth flyover
tour of all the 2008 courses is something that's never been done before and the
golf community around the world will love being able to see it, and it's free.

It seems that our work is also capturing the imagination of the more techincal side
of the internet. Apart from a cavalcade of blogs from around the world writing about
and linking to us,
Smartcomputing.com also nominated Eyespygolf.com as the 'Fun Site
of the Day', we really liked the write up.

If you're an avid golfer, you probably have a favorite course you frequent. And
since you use a particular course, or maybe even courses, often, you have come to
know them pretty well. You're familiar with the fairway, the roughs and the bunkers.
And knowing a course can be a huge advantage. Things change, though, when you're
in another city and you want to play a few rounds. Because all courses are laid
out differently, it can make using a new one a real challenge. Now there is a way,
with the help of Google Earth, to look at nearly every golf course (16,000+) in
the United States. Just as you can see any other geographic location worldwide with
Google Earth, you can now see a course from the air, which will help you decide
if it is one you would like to try. This site includes other relevant information
such as the course's address, the type of course (public or private), any fees,
and the number of holes. And if you're planning on going out that day, there is
a detailed weather forecast. (You will need to download Google Earth to see everything.)
As if that wasn't enough, there are many tips available for the beginning and experienced
golfer to make the experience just that much more enjoyable.
